Silt Curtains
Marine construction, shoreline restoration, bridge maintenance, aquatic site work and dredging are among many scenarios that place ecosystems under great strain. These amazing floating barriers create a defined space whereby suspended silt, sediments and solids are localised.
SpillSmart can be manufactured with different length and depth skirts to suit a project.
Size will determine the necessary floatation and ballast required. These Silt Curtains are Australian Made and can be customised to suit project requirements with efficient turnaround times.
Types of Silt Curtains
Type 1
Designed for protected or sheltered water ways where variables such as wind, currents and waves are minor.
Type 2
Designed for conditions with mild moving water, wind and waves may be present.
Type 3
Designed for more challenging conditions including faster moving water flows, greater wind exposure, increased wave activity, tidal waters in rivers and bays.

Bunding
The key purpose of Bunding Systems is to contain, water, chemicals, and contaminated fluids to ensure if a spill occurs that it is fully contained. Any leaks or escapes that occur on site can be more easily captured with a bunding solution. There are a few types and depending on your requirements, EMI have solutions.
Rigid Bunds
SpillSmart Rigid Bunds are a semi-permanent containment solution for the temporary storage of liquids and chemicals. They are a great choice, especially where floor space is limited.
This bund is great for:
- Temporary storage of liquids and leak containment
- Perfect for tank storage
- No external legs
- Perfect for areas with limited floor space.
Collapsible Bunds
Collapsible Bunds are constructed to contain accidental spills & leaks and provide cost-effective temporary storage for liquids and chemicals. These Bunds are super quick to deploy. External folding legs lock into place keeping sidewalls rigid and eyelets are provided for pegging to soft ground when required. Legs fold down in seconds, giving quick and easy loading access for pallet jacks and forklifts.
This bund is great for:

- Maximising bunding capacity with 30cm high-side wall
Floor Bunds
Aluminium Floor Bunding is a robust, permanent solution for providing hazardous liquid containment in high traffic areas. As a non-sparking, non-magnetic product, it is the ideal choice for use around flammable liquids and vapours.
Spill Bunds
Spill Bunds are a flexible alternative for the portable temporary secondary containment of stored liquids. Sidewalls are filled with memory foam, allowing them to be driven over by all manner of vehicles including forklifts and heavy trucks, allowing for easy and quick access to the bund.

Pallet Bunds
Bunds are built for heavy loads, convenient handling and prevent costly clean- ups. Constructed from high quality polyethylene they are resistant to most chemicals including acids and corrosives and offer great strength.

Containment, Weed and Debris Booms
Containment Booms are deployed to reduce the risk of pollution reaching the shore, banks or other environmentally sensitive areas. They do this by creating a floating barrier to contain surface liquid pollutants such as oil and/or debris for a more effective recovery. They may also be used as a means to divert, deflect or create an exclusion area to protect sensitive and vulnerable habitats. Containment Booms can also be referred to as Floating Barriers, Oil & Fuel Booms and Debris Booms.
Type 1:

Type 2:

Ballast: 6mm Galvanised chain Connectors: ASTM F962 Z Connectors Tensioners: 50mm webbing above & below float chamber & 25mm webbing above chain pocket.
